13 ASG Terrorists Surrender to Philippine Government

A total of 13 Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) members formally surrendered at the 1103rd Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Barangay Bon-Bon, Patikul, Sulu yesterday, November 15, 2021.

They turned over ten M1 Garand rifles, two M16 rifles, one M79 GL with one round 40mm ammo, and one 9mm pistol to Patikul, Sulu Mayor Kabir Hayudini, and 11th Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. William Gonzales.

1103rd Bde Commander Brig. Gen. Benjamin Batara identified the surrendered bandits as Ladok Alih Alina, Alkaiser Faisal Ladjahali, Bennajar Jalmaan, Asaral Sakandal Asorani, Almujir Naning Salammudin, Juli Ansa Uppih, Randimar Isa Kiram, Makrim Jumhala Habbisi, Hakem S Asanji, Aisari M Sadri, Tista Juhurim Hussien, Sibar Juhurim Hussien, and Jabir Sahi Nuni.

In his earlier guidance, Army Commanding General and now AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Andres Centino ordered Army troops to intensify intelligence operations and capabilities to neutralize state enemies.

From January to October 2021, 177 ASG members surrendered to authorities; 27 were killed in encounters, while 23 others were captured.
